This collection of articles, entitled Memory, Identity and Intercultural Communication, aims to highlight, through the approaches it contains (seemingly disparate, but in fact, converging in many ways), the relationship between memory, the landscape of identity and interculturality.

Iulian Boldea, born on March 2, 1963, Ludus (Mures). He graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the “Babes-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca (1989). PhD in Philology (1996). Editor and deputy editor of the journal “Echinox” (1987-1989). He is Professor of Romanian literature at “Petru Maior” University in Targu-Mures, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Letters, PhD. Advisor. Editor of “Vatra” literary journal. Frequent contributor to important national and international cultural journals. He published two volumes of poetry and several books of literary criticism and essays: The Front and the Reverse of the Text (I.L. Caragiale and Mateiu I. Caragiale) / Fața și reversul textului (I.L. Caragiale și Mateiu I. Caragiale), Ana Blandiana, The Ages of Criticism / Vârstele criticii, The Didactical History of Romanian Poetry / Istoria didactică a poeziei românești, Themes and Variations / Teme și variațiuni. Member of the Romanian Writers’ Union. He contributed to numerous collective volumes in Romania and abroad. Awards: The Award of the Targu Mures Branch of the Writers’ Union (1996, 1998, 2002, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2011), The Order of “Merit for Education”, in the rank of officer, 2004; Diploma of Excellence and Distinction from the Mures County Prefecture “Fibula from Suseni” (2009), The Prize of the Romanian Academy (2011). He is a contributor to Kindlers Literatur Lexikon (Metzler, Stuttgart / Weimar, 2009).
