Gualtiero Harrison, was Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, and Chairman of the Master of Science in Theory and Methodology of Anthropological Research in the Contemporary World. Since 1968 he has taught Cultural Anthropology, Psychological Anthropology and Anthropological Foundations of Human Rights in the Universities of Trento, of Calabria, of Padua, of Bologna, La Sapienza University of Rome and the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples. He was a Coordinator for the School of Human Rights and Environmental Education at the University of Padova. He is Adviser to the Ministry of Social Affairs for the Commission on social and psychological risk behavior in childhood and consultant for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for the statute on the rights and duties of the child. Since 1993 he has been a Member of the Scientific Committee of the “International Symposium in Courmayeur” promoted by UNESCO and the CNPDS.
